Speaker: Bill Davis Pastor, Laurel Hill Baptist Church Topic: “What I learned from North Koreans” Bill Davis spent about 10 years working for a non-profit NGO doing development work in Asia completing several projects inside North Korea. Bill has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and served as Chief Engineer for this work. Bill was responsible for the engineering, logistics, implementation, and training for development projects improving food security, capacity building, and improvements to medical facilities in several communities. During this time, Bill spent much time working with local technicians and government personnel to implement these projects. This presentation will share a few of the things that he learned from the North Korean people that can apply to business today in our country. Some of the topics include: The importance of Relationships Building Trust—Showing Respect Flexibility—“If you don’t have it, you don’t need it” Importance of patience and understanding Include those who disagree in the decision-making process
